This is a comprehensive guide to over 150 of the watering holes in Detroit. Each establishment has its own full-color page. There you will find not only the basic information (address, phone, website, hours), but also information about the bar and kitchen offerings, advice on parking, specials and recurring events, and even some recommendations based on the author's experience.  The book is organized by neighborhood, and each has a map showing the location of the bars, popular venues, and stops for the Detroit People Mover and the Q-Line rail system.

This guide is a valuable asset for anyone living, working, or going to school in Detroit, or visiting the city for sporting events, concerts, shows, or just about any reason. While the title focuses on the bars, the food at each location is discussed as well, and Detroit is a hot-spot for food these days.

The author, Mike Kline, visited every place in person in order to gather the most accurate information possible. For those places that really impressed him, there are blue ribbons on their pages.

The book  covers the part of Detroit that stretches from Warren Avenue to the Detroit River, and from I-96 to Joseph Campeau. This area covers all of downtown, and works into the surrounding areas.
